Language Planning and Policy
The sector seeks to work in the field of language planning and policy, based on the importance of linguistic work established according to a disciplined strategic vision, through conscious evaluation of the linguistic reality and seeking to anticipate and direct the future.
The sector has various programs, most notably:
1- Pioneering Arabic linguistic thinking globally.
2- Building and activating language policies and standards.
3- Spreading linguistic knowledge.

- Establishing a research track specialized in Arabic language planning, standard setting and database building.
- Launching the annual conference of the Arabic language.
- Preparing language policies and seeking to activate them at the local, regional and international levels.
- Supporting the Arabic language in international organizations.
- Building the Arabic language index and publishing the annual report related to the index.
- Publishing research papers, journals and academic books.
