وقّع مجمع الملك سلمان العالمي للُّغة العربيّة - اليوم - اتفاقيّةً مع هيئة التخصصات الصحية، في مجال اللغة العربية في الممارسة المهنية للناطقين بغيرها، تهدف إلى التكامل بين الطرفين في مجال دعم المحتوى العربي للدراسات الطبية والأبحاث العلمية.

His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Boards of Trustees of King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), has launched the Arabic Language Month in the People's Republic of China (PRC). Organized by KSGAAL from March 28 to April 26, 2024, in Beijing and Shanghai, the program features an array of scientific programs and activities. In collaboration with educational institutions in the host country, the program aims to enhance Arabic teaching curricula, elevate educators’ proficiency, and support Arabic language education in China. The program features a series of visits and meetings with Chinese universities that offer Arabic language programs, along with associations and institutes dedicated to teaching and promoting the Arabic language in China.

Commenting on this initiative, Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, KSGAAL Secretary-General, said: "In its dedication to promoting the Arabic language both locally and globally, KSGAAL actively engages in various tracks aligned with its strategy and the guidance of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. This is one of our key programs that highlights KSGAAL’s instrumental efforts in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and underscores the Kingdom's commitment to serving the Arabic language globally. Remarkably, the program aims to train teachers and enhance their teaching capabilities, ultimately improving learning outcomes for Arabic language learners.”

Throughout the month, KSGAAL is collaborating with Beijing Language and Culture University to organize a supplementary academic competition for Arabic language learners across three tracks: public speaking, storytelling, and Arabic calligraphy. The competition aims to integrate KSGAAL's key publications in this field and foster active engagement among learners.

The program will be held for three weeks in Beijing and one week in Shanghai. The agenda features a scientific seminar, two panel discussions, educational field trips, and four teacher training workshops. These workshops aim to enhance teachers' proficiency in language skills, covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing, through tailored active learning methods for teaching Arabic to non-native learners.

As part of its ongoing global linguistic and cultural endeavors, Arabic Language Month in China is part of the KSGAAL-organized initiative, the "Arabic Language Teaching Scientific Programs."  Several editions of the program have been held in various countries, including India, Brazil, Uzbekistan, and Indonesia.

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) is collaborating with the Digital Government Authority (DGA) to launch a specialized Arabic jargon, the Digital Government Glossary. The publication will unify the digital government terminology and their explanation, and avoid discrepancies and confusion in translation. This will ensure consistency and create a unified, reliable reference for government agencies, researchers, and anyone interested in digital government.

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) introduced the Siwar platform for linguistic dictionaries at the LEAP 24 conference. Siwar is specifically crafted to compile and manage dictionaries, employing cutting-edge scientific methodologies tailored for creating Arabic dictionaries. By integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, the platform facilitates advanced searches within Arabic dictionaries, streamlines the writing, publishing, and management processes for lexicographers, and supports the study of lexical and semantic phenomena for scholars and enthusiasts.

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) in Thailand today announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement, which has been approved by the Cabinet, will enhance collaborative efforts in promoting, teaching, and preserving the Arabic language. It also aims to foster scientific and practical collaborations, with the mutual goal of achieving both parties’ strategic objectives.

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) is organizing a panel discussion titled "Arabic Language Index: Concept, Challenges, and Achievements 2023" on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. The event will be attended by language experts and representatives of relevant authorities as part of KSGAAL's ongoing efforts to preserve and enhance the Arabic language and disseminate linguistic proficiency in line with the goals of the Human Capability Development Program, one of Saudi Vision 2030’s realization programs.
