King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language Celebrates the International Day of the Arabic Language in New York
The King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language, in cooperation with the permanent delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, will celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language under the slogan “Arabic Language and Civilizational Communication” next Monday in New York City, USA, under the patronage of His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language, and the presence of His Excellency the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallimi, and a number of ambassadors and representatives of countries.
The event aims to highlight the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving the Arabic language, consolidating its identity in the world, and its effective contributions to international organizations, in addition to various participations of senior officials of the United Nations, and three dialogue sessions entitled: Arabic Language and Civilizational Communication at the United Nations, as well as A discussion session on the Arabic language and civilized communication through language, translation and art, as well as a session entitled “Work programs and initiatives to promote the Arabic language at the United Nations”, with the participation of a number of officials in government bodies, academics and those interested.
It is noteworthy that on the sidelines of the celebration, several events and activities will be held, such as a documentary exhibition that will review some international scientific projects of the “King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for Planning and Language Policies” linked to the King Salman International Complex, as well as the presence of the Arabic language in the world and in international organizations.
