KSGAAL Joins ArabicNLP 2024 in Thailand

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) is participating in the Second Arabic Natural Language Processing Conference (ArabicNLP 2024), co-located with the 62nd Annual Meeting of the Association for Computational Linguistics (ACL 2024). This prestigious event will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from August 11 to 16. By joining the global event, KSGAAL aims to connect with researchers in the field of Arabic NLP and attract interest from specialists to its initiatives, showcasing innovative AI and computational linguistics solutions, and aligning with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 Realization Programs.
KSGAAL’s participation will feature a specialized research competition focused on supporting enthusiasts of the Reverse Dictionary (RD) and the Word Sense Disambiguation (WSD) using data from the Riyadh Contemporary Arabic Dictionary. Financial prizes will be awarded to the top three winners.
The competition is designed to propel scientific research and innovation in Arabic language computing and artificial intelligence, strengthen KSGAAL's position in the field, and enhance its global presence. It aims to attract top talent, contribute to the development of lexicographic technologies, particularly the Contemporary Arabic Riyadh Dictionary, and promote advancements in AI for Arabic language processing, both locally and globally.
As a key sponsor at ArabicNLP 2023 held in Singapore, KSGAAL was recognized for its significant contributions and presented five papers that advanced research and innovation in the Arabic language.
