KSGAAL Signs MoU with Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies

The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) and the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen their collaboration in promoting the Arabic language. This includes efforts to improve teaching methods across various disciplines, preserve the integrity of the language, and support its widespread use. The MoU, signed at the TSUOS campus in Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, on Thursday, aligns with the objectives of the Human Capability Development Program (a Saudi Vision 2030 realization program) and serves to achieve KSGAAL’s strategic goals.
At the signing ceremony, KSGAAL was represented by Secretary-General, Professor Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi. TSUOS was represented by the Rector, Professor Dr. Gulchekhra Rikhsiyeva.
The MoU will facilitate cooperation across several areas, including introducing the Arabic language proficiency test for non-native speakers, preparing educational books and modern Arabic teaching curricula, and conducting specialized studies and research on Arabic language teaching and learning.
The collaboration also involves a diverse range of activities. These include directing a joint study on the status of the Arabic language in Uzbekistan, authoring bilingual dictionaries (Arabic-Uzbek), analyzing, indexing, archiving, and preserving Arabic manuscripts, organizing the Arabic Language Month, and celebrating World Arabic Language Day.
KSGAAL is committed to fulfilling its mission of honoring and promoting the Arabic language and bolstering its societal, scientific, and cultural impact through various initiatives and projects. KSGAAL hosted the Arabic Language Month in the Republic of Uzbekistan as part of a touring series of scientific programs it organizes in several countries. The program included seminars, training courses, and scholarly discussions targeting Arabic language teachers and learners.
