KSGAAL Signs MoU with Thailand’s Prince of Songkla University

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) in Thailand today announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The agreement, which has been approved by the Cabinet, will enhance collaborative efforts in promoting, teaching, and preserving the Arabic language. It also aims to foster scientific and practical collaborations, with the mutual goal of achieving both parties’ strategic objectives.

The MoU was signed during the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) held on February 28-29, 2024, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program Committee.

Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, Secretary-General of KSGAAL, and Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of PSU, signed the MOU on behalf of their institutions.

The agreement outlines the collaboration between the two parties in various educational domains. This includes Arabic language and its sciences, Arabic language computing, developing digital dictionaries and linguistic corpora, collaborating on curriculum and resources for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, conducting proficiency tests for non-native Arabic learners, and partnering on language services and consulting expertise in several areas of mutual interest.

Through strategic collaborations with entities dedicated to advancing Arabic language development both locally and globally, KSGAAL aims to elevate the usage of the Arabic language, enhancing its influence, and preserving its integrity in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s Human Capability Development Program (HCDP).
