King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language Honors "Children's Recitation Challenge" Winners

King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL) honored the talented winners of "Children's Recitation Challenge 3" at the closing ceremony held today in Riyadh. The event was attended by Dr. Bedour Al-Rayes, Deputy CEO of the Human Capability Development Program, and Dr. Hassan bin Mohsen Kharmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, along with parents of the winners, professionals, and representatives of the participating schools.
The event showcased the children’s outstanding performances. Omar Al-Khaier, one of the previous challenge winners, delivered a speech on behalf of KSGAAL Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Washmi, praising the boundless support from H.H Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Minister of Culture and Chairman of KSGAAL’s Board of Trustees for supporting the challenge’s third edition. The speech commended the efforts of the judges and the active participation of schools and other institutions.
KSGAAL Secretary-General added, “We extend our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Education and the Human Capability Development Program for their invaluable support. Their assistance has been crucial in showcasing young talents in the art of poetic recitation and classical Arabic speaking. Additionally, they've provided talented children with a platform to demonstrate their linguistic and performance abilities and highlight the beauty of the Arabic language through their performances. This initiative contributes to fostering a deeper appreciation for linguistic innovation among the wider Arab audience, in accordance with KSGAAL’s strategic objectives.”
With prizes exceeding SAR200,000 for thirty winners, this challenge targeted children aged 5 to 12 years old. Over 6,000 participants from 33 countries submitted high-quality five-minute videos published on X with the hashtags: #ChildrensChallenge3 and #KingSalmanGlobalAcademyforArabicLanguage, along with personal information (full name - age - nationality - country of residence).
The first prize in the Children’s Recitation Challenge 3, for SR30,000,‎ went to Saudi Arabia’s Saad Mohammed Al-Khowaiter. The second place, for SR25,000, went to Morocco’s Musaab Abdul-Rahman Abdul-Hamid, while Palestine’s Ramadan Mahmoud Abu Jazar came in third and received SAR20,000. The fourth to 10th place winners received SAR10,000 each. Winners of the 11th to 15th place received SAR5,000, while those in the 16th to 30th place were awarded SAR3,000.
The closing ceremony showcased presentations by winners of "Children's Recitation Challenge 2," including Lana Al-Ghamdi and Saud Al-Rasheed . The award ceremony also featured a linguistic competition for children and a play titled ‘Students and the Robot’. As part of the ceremony, KSGAAL organized a visit for the winners and participants to its headquarters, offering them a training session, and hosting several activities, in addition to a tour introducing them to the educational and cultural stages in the Children's Arabic Language Exhibition. Additionally, a specialized panel was organized for experts in developing children's linguistic talents.
