Educational Programs
The sector works in the field of Arabic language teaching and aims to provide an added value to the existing academic educational programs, as it works to provide new and innovative products, applications and educational tools. The department also aims to develop a language proficiency test, to publish it, and to have its results recognized in academic institutions locally and internationally. In addition, the department seeks to build communication with linguistic authorities around the world. It works extend to Arabic speakers and those wishing to learn it from non-native speakers.
The Education Department includes the Department of Institutes, the Department of Language Proficiency Tests, and works on various programs, all of which are related to the field of education and examination, including:
- Building curricula and educational tools to assist in the process of teaching the Arabic language.
- Expanding to reach beneficiaries around the world by creating separate centers around the world.
- Attracting beneficiaries and those wishing to learn the Arabic language by offering various programs in terms of duration, location, purpose of learning, and so on.
- Providing a language assessment tool that matches the global mission of the Academy by building a language proficiency test that is recognized in academic institutions locally and internationally.
These general programs necessitate building activities that achieve the set goals. Among these activities that the Academy has begun to implement or has begun to plan:
- Establishing international centers for learning and teaching the Arabic language and spreading Saudi and Arab culture.
- Construction an application of language proficiency tests.
- Establishing a laboratory to innovate modern teaching tools in the field of Arabic language.
- Developing curricula, tools and methods for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and teaching it for special purposes.
- Training courses for teachers of Arabic for non-native speakers.
- Language immersion programs for tourists, diplomats, and summer cultural programs.
